Why Consider Transit Protection?
Accidents happen, even during the most careful moves. Our "all-risk transit insurance policy" provides peace of mind by covering your belongings from door-to-door, no matter the situation.
What Does the Policy Cover?
The policy protects your belongings against a wide range of risks, including:

Coverage Period
The policy is valid for 45 days for air freight and 90 days for ocean shipments, extendable upon request.
Determining Coverage Amount
There's no one-size-fits-all answer, but creating a detailed list of your household goods with their estimated replacement cost is a good starting point. Remember, only items explicitly listed on your policy are covered.
Does Orient insure the goods as well?
Origin
Our Kathmandu warehouse is insured with basic insurance coverage. For higher-value items, consider a separate storage insurance policy.
Destination
If your belongings will be stored at their final destination, inform us in advance or upon arrival. This allows us to extend coverage with an additional fee.
